The community is invited to join Ipswich Library's staff for a group read; bring a book or hear one read. Afterwards, everyone will return to the library for activities, snacks, and a special surprise. Children and adults of all ages are invited. The town hall is located at 25 Green St., and the library is at 25 North Main St. in Ipswich. For more information, visit

Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Danvers Family Festival's History, Harmony, Hotdogs & Hits from 5 to 8 p.m., at Glen Magna Farms at Endicott Park. Enjoy hot dogs, root beer floats, ice cream, drinks, music by Britannica, and vintage baseball featuring the Essex Baseball Club versus the Danvers High School Baseball Team. The teams will play on the activity field at 6 p.m., and will be using the old time rules of the game. Everyone is welcome to attend, but pets and coolers should stay home. A small donation from each adult is appreciated. In case of rain, the event will be moved to July 1. Endicott Park is located on Ingersoll Road in Danvers. For more information, visit
