300th Anniversary Worship Service and Community Celebration, 9:30 a.m., Second Congregational Church, sanctuary, 35 Conant St., Beverly. The Rev. Dr. Jim Antal, conference, minister and president of the Massachusetts Conference of United Church of Christ, will join the congregation for a special worship service at 9:30 a.m. to commemorate the church’s 300th anniversary. A community celebration will follow at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary. Representatives from many groups will be available with information about their programs. Refreshments will follow. Winter Warm-Up Sale, noon to 1 p.m., Ascension Memorial Church, Dorman Gym, 31 County Road, Ipswich. Proceeds benefit the church’s community outreach initiatives. Features a silent auction; white elephant table; jewelry; CDs, videos and other media; baked goods; books; crafts; toys and children’s items; gift baskets; and an American Girl Doll raffle.
