SPRING INTO ACTION. Thursday, April 4, 6 to 9 p.m., Holy Ghost Society Hall, 20 Howley St., Peabody. Live and silent auction, buffet dinner, hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and music by jazz/pop/French music trio La Vie en Rose. Proceeds benefit North Shore Community Action Programs and its mission to help low-income individuals and families find the stability they need to rise out of poverty. $35/ticket, $325/table of 10. LIVE AND SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER. Thursday, April 4, 6:30 p.m., Essex Agricultural and Technical High School, Alumni Memorial Gymnasium, 562 Maple St., Danvers. Benefits the classes of 2015 and 2016. Tickets cost $5 per person and include a “Taste of the Region.” North Shore restaurants will serve samplings of their culinary specialities. Tickets available at the door; cash or check only.

“POWER OF THE PURSE.” Fundraising event, Thursday, April 4, 6:30 to 9 p.m., Brookwood School, Manchester. The Women’s Fund of Essex County will host fifth annual fundraiser. Event includes a ladies’ evening with hors d’oeuvres, wine and raffles. $40/ticket, purchased at the door. All proceeds help fund special projects and annual grant awards made by The Women’s Fund, a philanthropic organization that raises and distributes funds to nonprofits that provide opportunities and solutions for women and girls in need throughout Essex County.

COMEDY SHOW. Features Dave Rattigan of Scamps Comedy Productions and observational humorist Steve Bjork on Thursday, April 4, Onion Town Grill, 175 Water St., Danvers. $25 per person. All proceeds benefit Friends of Beverly Animals, a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that works to rescue and place homeless animals in and around Beverly. WITCHPITCH? FUNDRAISING CONCERT. Thursday, April 4, 7:30 p.m., Salem High School auditorium, 77 Willson St. Concert features a night of a cappella music with performances by WitchPitch? and Redline, a professional a cappella group. Event includes baked goods, raffles and a silent auction. For the third year in a row, WitchPitch? has won the New England semifinal for the International Championship of High School A Cappella. Proceeds will support a WitchPitch? trip to New York to compete in the finals. $15/adults, $10/students and seniors.
