The Peabody Essex Museum will open its doors with free general admission to visitors today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of the Free Fun Fridays program. Through Free Fun Fridays, sponsored by Highland Street Foundation, 60 museums and cultural venues across the state will over similar free admission days throughout the summer. Best-selling author Laurie Faria Stolarz will talk about her young adult titles and her inspiration for writing them today at 2 p.m. as part of Marblehead Festival of Arts’ Writers’ World Workshops. She will also describe her path to publication, sign books, and answer questions. The event ends with a writing workshop.
