Fans of “Downton Abbey” and local history are invited to the Beverly Public Library from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. to learn what life was like for real-life domestic servants in the grand homes of New England. Dr. Jennifer Pustz of Historic New England will present an illustrated talk on the various types of domestic servitude in three Historic New England properties. The presentation is part of the library's Monday Mornings lecture series, and will be held in the Sohier Room, 32 Essex St., Beverly. Don't miss the Peabody Recreation Elementary School Basketball League's final championship games at Higgins Middle School, located at 1 King St. Ext., in Peabody.
