Catherine Elizabeth Dioli received the Pingree School's faculty award for diligence at commencement. Dioli also received a Richard L. Pesce Memorial Award given to seniors for loyal participation in Pingree athletics and enthusiastic support for the play of others. Dioli, who graduated with distinction, plans to attend Bates College in the fall.

Colemann O'Malley was named presidential scholar for the spring semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.

Francis Sullivan, 11, was recently named one of eight winners of the 10th annual Youth Composition Festival sponsored by the University of Massachusetts-Lowell Collegiate Chapter of the Music Educators National Conference. Sullivan composed a piece for the piano titled "Me and My Piano" and performed it at UMass Lowell's MENC festival. The competition was open to all Massachusetts students in grades kindergarten to 12.
