Children of all ages are invited to experience the Model Matzah Bakery on Sunday, March 17, at 3:30 p.m. at the Chabad of Peabody, 83 Pine St. From threshing and winnowing the wheat stalks to kneading and rolling, each child will bake their own matzo from scratch. Parents are invited to join their children or join in a discussion/class on how to create a fun, interactive Passover Seder that will keep young children engaged and excited. “Images of Jewish Women in American Film,” a film and discussion series sponsored by the Jewish Women’s Archive, will trace cultural representations of and attitudes toward Jewish women in American films in the past 50 years. On Sunday, March 17, Joanne Caras, the author of “The Holocaust Survivor Cookbook” and “Miracles & Meals,” will discuss how each cookbook was created and share the most moving and miraculous stories in each book. The cookbooks are a collection of recipes and stories from more than 240 Holocaust survivors. Autographed cookbooks will be available for purchase. The Christian Women’s Connection March Brunch is set for Monday, March 11, from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m. in the Lighthouse Point Room at the Danversport Yacht Club, 161 Elliott St., Danvers. St. Richard Parish in Danvers will hold its third annual St. Patrick’s Dinner on Saturday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the lower church. A traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner will be served. Maple Street Church in Danvers will hold its fourth annual Trivia Night on March 9 at the Polish Club on Cheever Street, Danvers, from 6 to 10 p.m. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to form teams of eight. The Hamilton-Wenham Public Library presents “Inspirational Evenings” featuring Jorgelina Zeoli’s video series titled “Miracles,” which incorporates Zeoli’s two autobiographical films about healing from trauma through self-awareness, spirituality, music and art. Book signings and videotaped discussions with holistic practitioners, trauma survivors and members of different faiths will follow both films. The Girls Book Club is a free program of the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation and funded in part by an allocation from the Jewish Federation of the North Shore. Girls ages 9 to 12 and mothers are invited to participate in club, featuring a series of books that focus on the lives and adventures of American Jewish girls. On the second Sunday of each month, members and friends of Maple Street Congregational Church will collect food and essential items for the Danvers Food Pantry.
