Young children (with their parents and caretakers) are invited to come in costume to Abbot Public Library for an indoor party and parade today at 10:15 a.m. Festivities include Miss Alyisha reading spooky stories (don't worry — not too spooky), party refreshments and a parade inside the library with stops to trick-or-treat. Hear from four authors who will share their writing processes and helpful hints in a special forum tonight at 7 at Swampscott Public Library, 61 Burrill St., Swampscott. Forum participants include Elizabeth Graver, whose newest book is “The End of the Point”; suspense novelist Gary Goshgarian (Gary Braver); Laura Harrington, author of “Alice Bliss”; and author Nancy Schultz.
