The community is invited to the JCC of the North Shore on Wednesday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m., for an entertaining, interactive, and easy-to-remember and implement seminar on inspiring Jewish identity in children. The seminar is for parents and grandparents, and features best-selling author and internationally-renowned speaker Doron Kornbluth. Through stories and exercises, the presentation helps parents and grandparents to get more involved in Judaism for both themselves and their children. The event is free and kosher dairy desserts will be served. RSVPs are requested by Wednesday, May 21, to Susan Feinstein at 978-740-4431 or sfeinstein@lappinfoundation.org. The JCC is located at 4 Community Road in Marblehead.

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will host the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts’ annual Parish Historians Society meeting today, May 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., in St. Michael’s Parish Hall, 26 Pleasant St., Marblehead. The daylong program will focus on three centuries of change at St. Michael’s, and features presentations on liturgy, architecture, music and conservation of historic documents. Built in 1714, St. Michael’s is the second oldest Episcopal Church building in New England, and this year the church is celebrating its 300th anniversary. The event is open to parish administrators and historians of all faiths, and interested members of the general public. The cost is $20, which includes all programs and lunch.
