“TESTING THE WATERS.” Lindsay Hopkins-Weld’s art show on view Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, noon to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, May 18, noon to 4 p.m., at the Hall Haskell House, 36 S. Main St., Ipswich. Exhibit features Hopkins-Weld’s recent oil paintings of local scenes.

ART FAIR. Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Middleton Historical Society Museum, Pleasant Street, Middleton. The Middleton Arts Association will hold an art fair, featuring a large art exhibit; paintings for sale; live painting demonstration by watercolor artist Louise Anderson; and raffles, with winners announced at 2 p.m. Refreshments served.
