On the second Sunday of each month, members and friends of Maple Street Congregational Church collect food and essential items for the Danvers food pantry. Items most needed are baby wipes, disposable diapers in sizes 3 through 6, canned soups, peanut butter, canned tuna and cereal. The church is at 90 Maple St., Danvers. For more information, call 978-774-4510.
Jewish children, ages 6 months to 8 years, are invited to be a part of PJ Library, the free Jewish book-of-the-month club. Illustrated books about Jewish holidays, traditions, folklore and more are mailed directly to children, making it easy for parents to build a Jewish library for their young children. Subscriptions are free and made possible by funding from the Lappin Foundation, Cohen Hillel Academy, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and CJP. Dozens of fun family programs around books of the PJ Library take place throughout the North Shore during the year, and all are free. For information about eligibility and other family programs, contact Phyllis Osher at 978-740-4404 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.lappinfoundation.org.
