Good causes

15TH ANNUAL THANKSGIVING YOGA BENEFIT. Thursday, Nov. 22, 8 to 10 a.m., Church of St. Andrew’s Parish Hall, 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead. Warm-up starts at 8 a.m., Kirtan (chanting) begins at 8:10 a.m., and the class starts at 8:30 a.m. The class will include postures to relieve stress and promote digestion. Participants are asked to bring their own props. All proceeds benefit Healing Abuse Working for Change and the Marblehead Counseling Center. Admission is a $35 minimum suggested donation. FIFTH ANNUAL GABE’S RUN. Run to benefit the Gabriel Pacione Memorial Scholarships, Friday, Nov. 23, at Patton Park, 300 Bay Road, Route 1A, Hamilton. The race includes a 5K men’s and women’s cross-country trail race, a one-mile family fun run, awards, prizes, food, and fun. Race-day registration opens at 7:30 a.m., followed by the women’s race at 9 a.m., the men’s race at 9:45 a.m., fun run at 10:30 a.m. and awards at 11 a.m.

POST-TURKEY DAY COUNTRY NIGHT. Saturday, Nov. 24, 7:30 to 11 p.m., Gerry 5 VFA, 210 Beacon St., Marblehead. Featuring Bobby Carlson and Stones River Band. Doors open at 6 p.m.; barbecue food served from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wear dancing shoes, jeans, boots and hats. $15/ticket, includes dinner. Cash bar also available. Tables may be reserved. Prizes awarded for best country outfit. Open to ages 21 and older. All proceeds go to the Gerry 5 Scholarship Fund. 781-631-5214.

SYMPHONY BY THE SEA. Saturday, Nov. 24, 3 p.m., Abbot Hall, 188 Washington St., Marblehead. Special Thanksgiving weekend family concert. Storyteller Judith Black will be the guest narrator for “Babar the Elephant” set to music by Poulenc. Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal to the Teddy Bear Picnic and enjoy a surprise-filled hour of music and fun.
