Dedication Ceremony, following 4 p.m. Mass, St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Route 114, Salem. Dedication ceremony for the Fr. Daniel J. Sheehan Spiritual Life Center, which was the former convent on the St. Thomas property. Sheehan served as pastor at St. Thomas for more than 13 years, and died July 2, 2011.

Senior Shabbat Program & Luncheon, 10 a.m., JCC of the North Shore, 4 Community Road, Marblehead. The JCC presents its new Senior Shabbat Program & Luncheon. Sing songs with JCC preschoolers; hear from therapists of New Beginnings Counseling talk about love, loss and moving forward; and share a complimentary lunch with friends. All are welcome. Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan Evensong, 7 p.m., Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 188 Elliott St., Danvers. Celebrate the annual Feast of St. Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, at a traditional Evensong with a bagpiper providing appropriate music. Attendees are invited to bring items from their national heritage to place on the altar for blessing; these are not limited to things Scottish. Christmas Fair and Silent Auction, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 12 Washington St., Peabody. Auction features children’s items, gift baskets, collectibles, small electronics, gift cards and more. Fair features quilts, knits, crafts, baked goods, used books, white elephant items, general store, handmade quilt raffle and private vendor boutique. The Kountry Kitchen will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds benefit St. Paul’s Church and its community outreach programs.

38th Annual Christmas Fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., First United Methodist Church of Hamilton, 391 Bay Road, Hamilton. Annual Christmas Fair includes 20 different vendors, Christmas greens, knitted goods, baked goods, county store, white elephant and Christmas items. Breakfast served from 8:30 to 11 a.m., followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Handicapped-accessible.

Christmas Concert and Carol Sing, 7:30 p.m., Meeting House at Topsfield Common, corner of Main and Washington streets, Topsfield. The Congregational Church of Topsfield will host a Christmas Concert and Carol Sing, featuring guest conductor Richard Webster of Trinity Church Copley Square, the CCoT Chancel Choir, The Beacon Brass and accompaniment by organist Bart Dahlstrom. Community Hanukkah Celebration, noon to 3 p.m., Aviv Centers for Living, 240 Lynnfield St., Peabody. Annual Winter Concert, 4 p.m., Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple St., Danvers. The StarSingers and Company and the Shine on Me Boys Chorus, all Danvers-based treble choruses for young people, will join local instrumentalists to present their annual winter concert. Performance includes songs for Christmas, both traditional and contemporary, American folk songs and spirituals, Jewish songs of the Hebrew tradition, and songs from musicals and movies. Holiday Candlelight Service, 4:15 p.m., Puritan Lawn Memorial Park’s Veteran’s Circle on the Park’s main boulevard, Peabody. Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery’s 24th annual Holiday Candlelight Service for families to celebrate the season and pay respects to the memory of their loved ones regardless of where they’re buried. Non-denominational service includes various readings by members of the public, and music by the Masconomet High School Chorale. Visitors are invited to hang ornaments on the 50-foot Christmas tree. St. Nicholas Night, 4:30 p.m., St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead. St. Nicholas Night for people of all ages, especially children. The Rev. Clyde Elledge will lead the event with assistance from the church Youth Group. Learn about the way the story of Nicholas started. Event includes stories about St. Nicholas and a chance to meet him and hear some of his legends. Event concludes with a kid-friendly dinner of chicken nuggets and lasagna. Dinner ends at 6:30 p.m. Open to the public. Maeve in Holiday Concert, 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4 Ocean St., Beverly. Maeve, a collaboration of three women artists who blend their distinct voices and styles to create a cohesive sound rich with harmony, will sing a concert of holiday music. $13/ticket, $25/two tickets, $30/family. PJ Library New Pajama Drive, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Richardson’s Ice Cream, 156 South Main St., Middleton. The Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation in partnership with Richardson’s Ice Cream of Middleton invite families of the PJ Library to donate new pajamas, which will be distributed to local shelters.
