Fair Trade Advent Fair, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Maple Street Church, Social Hall, 90 Maple St., Danvers. The third annual fair features handcrafts by local artists and from around the world: jewelry, ornaments, textiles and original artwork. Also, various organizations will be represented. Sponsored by the World Service Committee of Maple Street Church. All proceeds support the crafters. 978-774-4510.

Dedication Ceremony, following 4 p.m. Mass, St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Route 114, Salem. Dedication ceremony for the Fr. Daniel J. Sheehan Spiritual Life Center, which was the former convent on the St. Thomas property. Sheehan served as pastor at St. Thomas for more than 13 years, and died July 2, 2011.

Senior Shabbat Program & Luncheon, 10 a.m., JCC of the North Shore, 4 Community Road, Marblehead. The JCC presents its new Senior Shabbat Program & Luncheon. Sing songs with JCC preschoolers; hear from therapists of New Beginnings Counseling talk about love, loss and moving forward; and share a complimentary lunch with friends. All are welcome. Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan Evensong, 7 p.m., Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 188 Elliott St., Danvers. Celebrate the annual Feast of St. Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, at a traditional Evensong with a bagpiper providing appropriate music. Attendees are invited to bring items from their national heritage to place on the altar for blessing; these are not limited to things Scottish. Attendees are also invited to wear a traditional national costume. Service to pray for the peoples of all nations. A festive reception will follow in the Parish Hall. www.ctr-anglican.org.
