CHRISTMAS IN SALEM. The 33rd anniversary of Christmas in Salem on Friday, Nov. 30, Saturday, Dec. 1, and Sunday, Dec. 2, featuring holiday house tours of eight private homes and cottages dating from the Victorian era into the early 20th century, wine tastings, holiday tea, concerts, discounts at various locations, a talk on the Salem Willows neighborhood, shopping, and complimentary trolley rides. The Preview Candlelight Tour will be held Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for advance ticket holders only, and features three homes by the sea. All sites will be open for tours on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also, a holiday concert at The House of the Seven Gables will be held Saturday, and tickets cost $10 per person. Proceeds will benefit both Historic Salem Inc. and The House of the Seven Gables. Advance tickets cost $25 each for Historic Salem members and $30 each for the general public.
