Escape the heat with a relaxing paddle on the Ipswich River to Perkins Island where frozen treats will be served. From 2 to 4 p.m., attendees will take their time traveling downstream while enjoying the beauty of the surrounding marshes and forests. To participate, meet in front of the canoe kiosk at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, 87 Perkins Row, Topsfield. All equipment and basic canoeing instruction will be provided. Show off your disco moves tonight during River Walk Dancing at Down Town Tuesdays, from 6 to 9 at the River Walk Patio, on the corner of Union and Market streets in Ipswich. Dance instructions will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by dancing under the stars until 9 p.m. Admission is free.
