PHOTO STAFF CRITIQUE
Three main elements in this photo create a strong triangular composition. The triangle points consist of the lighthouse, the plaque, and the stones on the bottom left, which all contribute to clockwise motion holding you in the photo. The movement is offset by the flag on the lighthouse. Also, the type on the plaque catches your attention and slows your eye down. The almost cloudless sky strengthens the impact of all the elements in the image.
Good use of a wide angle lens. The thoughtful photographer used a wide depth of field to capture all the details from the foreground to the background.
