North Shore religion news in brief

(Continued)

On the second Sunday of each month, members and friends of Maple Street Congregational Church will collect food and essential items for the Danvers food pantry. Items most needed are baby wipes, disposable diapers in sizes 3 through 6, canned soups, tuna, pasta, boxed juices and cereal. The church is at 90 Maple St., Danvers. For more information, call the church office at 978-774-4510.

The Girls Book Club is a free program of the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation and funded in part by an allocation from the Jewish Federation of the North Shore. Girls ages 9 to 12 and mothers are invited to participate in club, featuring a series of books that focus on the lives and adventures of American Jewish girls. The club will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at Putnam Pantry, Route 1 north, Danvers, on June 5, Oct. 2 and Dec. 11. Attendance at all sessions is encouraged but not required. Grandmothers and special friends are also welcome to participate. Books and refreshments are free. Registration is requested to Phyllis Osher at posher@rilcf.org or posher@rilcf.org.

The Hamilton-Wenham Public Library presents “Inspirational Evenings” featuring Jorgelina Zeoli’s video series titled “Miracles,” which incorporates Zeoli’s two autobiographical films about healing from trauma through self-awareness, spirituality, music and art. Book signings and videotaped discussions with holistic practitioners, trauma survivors and members of different faiths will follow both films. The series will run April 22 and 29 and May 6, 13 and 20 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at 14 Union St., Hamilton. Seating is limited. To reserve a spot, call the library at 978-468-5577.
