On (Beverly's) Broadway

The Salem News

---- — Head out for a sunset stroll and view the mansions on Broadway, Beverly’s “showplace” 19th century downtown street, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Although their uses have changed over time, 18 former mansions that once belonged to prominent men and women still stand on Broadway. Sponsored by the Beverly Historical Society, the walk departs from the corner of Cabot Street and Broadway and will be narrated by local historian and author Ed Brown. A donation of $5 per person will benefit the Beverly Historical Society; free for children and society members. For more information, call the society at 978-922-1186.
