The Salem Y Teen Leaders are holding a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Salem Y parking lot, 1 Sewall St., Salem, to raise money for their upcoming service learning trip to New Orleans, where they will work on environmental restoration projects in Louisiana wetlands. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

A&B Burgers is hosting a children's concert at 10:30 a.m., with Ben Rudnick and Friends Family Works at 50 St. Peter St., Salem. The concert is open to the public and benefits Engine 33/Ladder 15 Firehouse on Boylston Street in Boston. Monetary donations will be collected for the families of Lt. Ed Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy, both of whom were killed last month fighting a fire in Boston’s Back Bay. At the concert, children have the opportunity to meet local firefighters from the Salem Fire Department, and get tours of the fire trucks. Children are asked to make thank-you cards for the firefighters who fought in last month’s fire, and bring them to the concert for A&B Burgers to send. The third annual Blues for the Troops III: A Benefit for Operation Troop Support takes place from 3 to 8 p.m. at Capone's Restauarant and Lounge, 147 Summit St., Peabody. The event features performances from five bands and guest performers, raffle prizes, 50-50 raffle and more. Admission is $10 at the door. All proceeds support Operation Troop Support, which provides supplies for troops during deployment and upon their return home.
