At 10 a.m., Peabody Historical Society, the Peabody Veterans Council, the Peabody Veterans Honor Guard and the Danvers Alarm List will lay a wreath at the Lexington Monument on Washington Street in memory of the fallen soldiers from South Danvers who died at the Battle of Lexington at the start of the Revolutionary War. The second annual town of Danvers Community Lunch takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Maple Street Congregational Church parking lot, 90 Maple St., Danvers. Watch the Red Sox game on a large-screen TV and enjoy a lunch fit for Fenway: grilled hot dogs, hamburgers and all the fixings, Fenway Park peanuts and cotton candy. There will also be games and fun for all ages — prizes will be awarded. Cost is $10 per person, $5 per child age 12 and under, with proceeds benefitting the River House in Beverly, which helps individuals return to lives of self-sufficiency.
