The Essex Harmony, artists-in-residence at the Danvers Historical Society, will present "The Cost of Freedom: A Boston Marathon Bombing Memorial," a free mixed media a cappella concert with selections by Randall Thompson and William Billings, at 3 p.m. at Tapley Memorial Hall, 13 Page St., Danvers. Honorable Phillip Weiner, a former war crimes judge, will talk about cases of war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including those involving crimes against humanity and genocide, at 7 p.m. at Temple Sinai, 1 Community Road, Marblehead. Weiner will also discuss pivotal responsibilities a judge at that level undertakes, and his previous post as a prosecutor for the United Nationals War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague.
