Swingin’ for Old Town Hall

Shake, rattle and ring at the Jingle Bell Jump on Saturday from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. in Salem’s Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square. The 1940s and ’50s swing dance begins with dance instruction at 6:30 p.m., followed by dancing to live music by The White Heat Swing Orchestra, a nationally acclaimed swing band. Guests wearing retro attire will be rewarded with a door prize. The fundraiser is sponsored by History Alive! of Gordon College’s Institute for Public History, and all proceeds support continued restoration efforts at Old Town Hall. Tickets are $16 per person or $38 for a discounted family pack and include midcentury party fare. The public is welcome, and children are also invited to dance and participate in guided activities.
