Ho, Ho, Ho-ing in Salem
Santa arrives in Salem on Friday around 6 p.m., emerging from the roof at the Hawthorne Hotel, assisted by the Fire Department, and, with help of the elves, will distribute candy. Decking the halls in Beverly
The Friendly Garden Club of Beverly invites the public to its annual holiday sale on Tuesday at¬ the Cove Community Center on East Corning Street in Beverly. Tickets are¬ $5, with doors open at 6 p.m. Wreaths, centerpieces, arrangements and other greenery will be for sale.¬ At 7 p.m., there will be a presentation on the history of some popular traditions and a demonstration on using family heirlooms in floral designs.
On the hunt for antiques
The Peabody Essex Museum hosts its annual Antiques Show this weekend, featuring nearly 30 dealers from New England and across the United States showcasing silver, furniture, paintings, porcelain, jewelry and decorative accessories.
