Quick pick Tunes for the tercentenary

The Salem News

---- — To celebrate its history, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Marblehead is hosting a tercentenary organ recital series, which continues Sunday at 5 p.m. inside the 300-year-old church at 26 Pleasant St. Sunday’s recital features Barbara Bruns, minister of music at the Parish of Christ Church in Andover, performing on the church’s Opus 69, 22-stop mechanical-action organ. The public is welcome to attend, and admission to the concert is a $10 suggested donation to benefit the church’s Recital Series Fund. A light reception will follow.

The series is part of St. Michael’s yearlong, 300th anniversary celebration. St. Michael’s is the oldest Episcopal church in New England still conducting services in its original building. Visit www.stmichaels1714.org for more information.
