Movie enthusiasts are invited to join fellow film mavens at Peabody Institute Library’s monthly Film Discussion Group meeting on Wednesday at the main library, 82 Main St., Peabody. Participants will discuss the art of filmmaking and current trends and historical contexts that drove the creation of this month’s selected film, “Seven Samurai.” The film tells the story of seven samurai who teach a village to defend itself from bandits. Attendees should watch the film prior to the discussion. The group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Trustees Room.
