“PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES” RECEPTION. @text1:Thursday, Feb. 21, 5 to 7 p.m., Endicott College, Manninen Center for the Arts, 376 Hale St., Beverly. Exhibit organized by Endicott College highlights six of the country’s best-known art therapists and educators, providing viewers an insight into the creative efforts emanating from their studios. Meet several of the artists at the reception. Also, at 7 p.m., Pat B. Allen will present “Art as Inquiry: Connecting to the Creative Source Through Image Making.” Exhibit and reception are free. On view through Feb. 27.

ARTISTS AND AUTHORS WINTER EXHIBITION.@text1: Thursday, Feb. 28, 6 to 9 p.m., Hawthorne Hotel, 18 Washington Square West, Salem. The Salem Arts Association and the Hawthorne Hotel present the third annual exhibition, with a special interactive painting demonstration by Frank Costantino from 5 to 6 p.m. Local artists and authors will display and sell their work. Free. Admission to the demonstration is $7 online, $10 at the door.


EVENING WITH SINGER/SONGWRITERS. @text1:Friday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m., Glen Urquhart School, 74 Hart St., Beverly. Head of School and accomplished musician Dave Provost will host an evening performance with four other artists, Ted DeMille, Susie West, Chris Westerlund and Erik Wendelken. Donations accepted; all proceeds benefit Gain@GUS, a program that provides free academic and recreational summer enrichment to talented students in the city of Beverly and surrounding areas.
