Good cause

Proceeds to make a difference

Each year, more than 1,000 Beverly residents depend on the Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit to help them in cases of domestic abuse, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault. This weekend, the police hope to help in a different way by hosting a "Make a Difference, Give Hope" fundraiser at the Franco-American Club, 44 Park St., Beverly. The event, on Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m., will include raffles, music, dancing and other festivities. All proceeds will be donated to the victims served throughout the year and will assist in providing basic needs for food, clothing, diapers, toiletries and emergency shelter. To make a donation or buy a ticket, contact Tina or Katie at 978-922-1155. All donations are tax-deductible.
