PEABODY — The Peabody Institute Library celebrated the end of a summer of reading with a block party for children last week. Singer and songwriter Jay Mankita performed and showed off his Veggie Van — which runs on vegetable oil. There were tattoos (temporary, of course) and treats. A storybook ending to a great summer.
