Three days of arts and crafts
Country woodcrafts, photography, tapestry, Native American crafts, toys and more will be available at the New England Arts and Crafts Festival at the Topsfield Fairgrounds, Route 1 north, Topsfield, tomorrow, Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Escape to "Sea Escape"
Novelist and family expert Lynne Griffin will read and sign her second novel, "Sea Escape," on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers. Griffin will share the emotional story inspired by family letters about the ties that bind mothers and daughters. Copies of the book will be for sale. For more information, call 978-774-0554.
Confetti's creation
The Confetti Girls — a group of local artists and friends — will be showing their work together at the Hall-Haskell House, 36 S. Main St. (Route 1A) in Ipswich, from Wednesday, Sept. 8, through Sunday, Sept. 12. Anne Costello of Newburyport, Susan Guest-Mcphail of Essex, Cynthia George O'Grady (Chaya) of Beverly, Judy Schroeter of Essex, Jeannette Steele-Esposito of Ipswich and Judy Stover of Salem are the members of the group. Exhibit hours are noon to 5 p.m. The artists' reception will be on Friday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Confetti members donate 20 percent of sales to Hall-Haskell House.
