Join Swiss Master Chef Brendan Cronin as he discusses his global journey of gastronomic delight as described in his book, “Cheffin’: From Potatoes to Caviar.” Cronin is the operations manager and assistant professor at Endicott's School of Hospitality Management, and he is the only Irish chef to attain the prestigious Swiss culinary title of Chef de Cuisine Diplomé. He will be speaking as part of Beverly Public Library's Monday Mornings lecture series from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Following his talk, Cronin will sign and sell copies of his book. Anthony M. Amore, the author of “Stealing Rembrandts” and “The Gardner Heist,” and head of security at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, will present a lecture on art crime from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Flint Public Library, 1 South Main St. in Middleton. Amore is heading the museum’s own investigation into the infamous theft of 13 priceless works of art from Gardner — the largest property theft in world history.
