DANVERS - Organizers of Danvers High's fourth annual prom fashion show were getting set yesterday to field a crowd of 200 to 300 family and friends at the Sheraton Ferncroft Resort.

Last night during the show, high school models strutted their stuff on the catwalk in the latest prom fashions.

Business teacher Meghan Symmes helped seniors Richard Kelley and Laura McIlroy, co-presidents of the school's DECA club, pull off the event, which had been postponed because of a snowstorm Jan. 14.

DECA stands for Distributive Education Clubs of America, an association of marketing students, and the Danvers High chapter took over the production of the show from the senior class for the first time this year.

Lorraine Roy Fine Apparel of Danvers provided the prom fashions, and the event also featured a disc jockey and a prom exposition with several vendors.

Girls from Danvers High, Masconomet Regional High, Bishop Fenwick and Beverly High modeled, Symmes said, while Danvers High senior boys escorted the models on the runway in tuxedoes.

"I'm excited," Symmes said. "The kids have put a lot of work into it."
