Where to see the fireworks

The North Shore offers lots of choices for fireworks lovers. Here's where you can watch the show.

Salem

Salem Maritime National Historic Site on Derby Wharf, Saturday, July 4, 9:15 p.m. Free. Kids' Space opens at 4 p.m. with games and activities, music starts at 5 p.m., opening ceremonies and 104th Air National Guard flyover at 7:15 p.m. Pops concert by Hillyer Festival Orchestra leading up to fireworks. Parking in city garages, downtown lots.

Beverly

West Beach, Saturday, July 4 9 p.m. Tickets for wristbands are $15 at the gate, or $10 in advance, available at Dom's Trattoria and the Fruitful Basket. The beach opens to the public at 5 p.m. Alcoholic beverages, containers and coolers prohibited. Parking is limited.

Danvers

Plains Park, Sunday, July 5, 9 p.m. Free. Stage show beginning at 4 p.m., games and rides for kids. Patriotic program beginning at 7 p.m. Park is on Porter Street near Holten Richmond School. Parking available in downtown municipal lots.

Marblehead

Marblehead Harbor, Saturday, July 4, 9 p.m. Following a harbor illumination at 8:45 p.m., fireworks will be launched from a barge at the mouth of the harbor around 9 p.m. Prime viewing points are available all around the harbor. Parking will be limited.

Swampscott

King's Beach, Swampscott/Lynn line, Friday, July 3, at dusk. The annual fireworks display will be held jointly with the city of Lynn. Pyrotechnics will be launched from a barge off the beach about midway between the two municipalities. Parking is limited.
