Kelvin Hrzu, 31, of 352 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested at 2:34 p.m. on Dearborn Avenue by Patrolmen Daniel Brown and Stephen Collins on charges of driving without a license, negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Police responded when a woman complained over a car crashing into a porch.
Rebecca Haleigh Gallagher, 18, of 18 Wellman St., Beverly, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. on Simon Street by Patrolmen Dana Nicholson and Kevin Coletti on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police had responded to a report of a fight in the park.

A vehicle at McKay and Elliott streets was reportedly scratched by a vandal, according to the log at 2:45 p.m.
Salem
Monday
A man visiting his mother's rental property on Harbor Street at 4:19 p.m. discovered squatters living in the basement. They vanished before police arrived.
A man crossing at Washington and Mill streets told police at 4:54 p.m. that a driver talking "on her cellphone ... bumped him," according to the log. She denied it, saying she never hit him and that he "began to yell at her and struck the front end of the vehicle with his hands." A witness supported the version offered by the pedestrian, who did not want to level charges.
A dad told police that his daughter's house was broken into and copper pipes stolen, according to a 5:04 p.m. log entry. The house is empty with nothing left to steal, he said. The daughter is deployed overseas with the U.S. Navy and is trying to sell the house.
When a woman went to the Derby Street Walgreens with a very worn sales slip and a photo memory card to return, store personnel were able to call up a video of two men paying for a photo card the day before and receiving that sales slip. The woman slipped away as the video was being checked, according to the log at 5:08 p.m. Shoplifters sometimes use discarded sales slips to return stolen merchandise for cash.
A couple raised an alarm at 6:22 p.m. after saying they were confronted at Essex and New Liberty streets by a man who "pulled out a large silver object, waving it in their direction," according to the log. The pair took it for a switchblade. The man, described as white, in his 50s, with gray or blond hair, and wearing jeans and a jeans jacket, was said to have appeared "almost ... out of nowhere," and to have said nothing. The couple kept walking. Police were unable to locate the man.
Police tried to reach Comcast when a woman on Pope Street's phone service was cut, leaving her medical alert button useless, according to the log at 9:14 p.m.
Tuesday
Robert Paul Warren Jr., 43, of 12 Sheehan Terrace, Rockport, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. on Congress Street by Patrolmen Daniel Tucker and Derek White on charges of possessing a Class B substance and driving without insurance or registration.
A woman on Buffum Street called police at 4:42 a.m. when she heard a noise and came out of the bedroom to find "her ex-boyfriend standing in the kitchen with flowers and a card for Valentine's Day," according to the log. She asked how he'd gotten in, and he said he'd come through an unlocked window in the children's room. When he left, she called police, who will apply for a warrant for breaking and entering.
Damage to another ice sculpture was logged at Church and Brown streets at 6:52 a.m.
A brick was hurled through a front door at an Essex Street condo. "No suspects or enemies to report," according to the log at 7:55 a.m., which suggests random vandalism. A Bridge Street door suffered the same fate and was logged at 8:04 a.m.
Police investigated a charge that a defendant at Salem District Court had threatened the alleged victims in a crime with words including "I'd kill you." The exchange took place in a restroom, according to the log at 11:01 a.m., and is not considered witness intimidation "as the victims were invoking their Fifth Amendment rights and were not testifying in the case."
A landlord-tenant dispute on Derby Street spilled into legal territory when the landlord allegedly proclaimed, "You'll get yours." He is the defendant in a case of domestic abuse with the tenant an alleged victim. His remark could be considered witness intimidation. Police sought a warrant for his arrest, according to the log at 1:30 a.m.
Robert Elmer Uzdavinis, 30, of 14 Lathrop St., Salem, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. at his address by Lt. Matthew Desmond on a charge of violating a protective order.
The manager of the Howling Wolf Taqueria on Lafayette Street went to police at 2:46 p.m. to complain that her employees are being harassed by a former worker. "They have all asked him to stop sending the text messages to them, but he has not stopped," according to the log.

Christian Clemons, 18, of 179 North St., Salem, and Diana Resciniti, 20, of 249 Lafayette St., Salem, were arrested at the Liberty Tree Mall Kohl's at 7:27 p.m. by Officer John Melto on charges of shoplifting.
Tuesday
Kelly Olsen, 40, of 44 Newcastle St., Lynn, was arrested at 10:26 a.m. at the Liberty Tree Mall Kohl's by Officer William Cassidy on a charge of larceny over $250.
Peabody
Monday
Jason M. King, 31, of 4 Sherman St., Peabody, was arrested at 3:04 p.m. at his address by Officer Daniel Jenkins on a charge of domestic assault and battery. A second person will be summonsed. Police responded to "past family dispute," according to the log.
Tuesday
Tiana Lucille Cardona, 24, of 7 Central St., Peabody, was arrested at 12:13 p.m. at home by Officer Robert Gallo on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
