Police told a Prince Street man and his three friends at 1:30 a.m. that his beer pong game had to end for the night.
Police received a report at 4 a.m. of a car break-in on Heritage Drive.
Susan C. Currier, 32, of 9 Youle St., Melrose, was arrested at 10:16 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of drugs (methadone), following a report of a erratic driver on Highland Avenue. Police found the car in the Walmart parking lot with a woman in the driver's seat and a man, who was nodding off, in the passenger's seat. Police said Currier told Patrolman Burke that they just came from a methadone clinic in Lynn. Police searched the car but found no evidence of any drugs or drug use, but paramedics said Currier was "under the obvious effects of opiate use."
A city parking attendant who was spray-painting parking meters on Washington Street told police at 1:20 p.m. a gust of wind blew some silver paint onto the front end of a black 2006 Mercedes C350. A note was left for the car owner to contact the parking clerks office.
Police received a call from New York Chicken on 10:26 p.m. of an undesirable in the Lafayette Street restaurant and police arrested the man, Joseph A. Giardina Jr., 47, of 248 Washington St., Salem, after learning he had six warrants out for his arrest.

Police took a report at 12:16 a.m. of a masked man inside McDonald's on Canal Street.
A man told police at 8 a.m. that he was knocked to the ground and had his cell phone thrown at him. The cell phone missed him but the force broke a window. The victim told police he suspects the man went after him because he called his daughter last evening and yelled at her.
Police received a report at 8:20 a.m. of a tree striking a 23 Wisteria St. A public works employee responded and notified the shade tree department.

Brandon Pariseau, 20, of 13 Oak St., Danvers, was arrested at 3 a.m. and charged with drunken driving, marijuana possession, and speeding, following a motor vehicle stop on Canal Street.
Police received a report at 11:20 a.m. of a dog inside a Lexus on Derby Street but the car was gone when police arrived.

Raymond Gallant, 21, of 10 Folly Pond Road, Beverly; Ronald Terelak, 33, of 1 Whale Cove Road, Rockport; and Katie Gallant, 19, of 10 Folly Pond Road, Beverly, were arrested at 4:14 p.m. and each charged with larceny at Kohl's.

Arriel Henry, 20, of 3 Skinner Ave., South Hamilton, was arrested at 11:33 a.m. and charged with breaking and entering to commit a misdemeanor, domestic assault and battery, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, following a report of an assault on Holten Street.

Christine M. Rosa, 21, of 109 Bartholomew St., Peabody, was arrested at 6 p.m. and charged with three counts of domestic assault and battery, following a report of a family dispute.
An employee at Petco on Sylvan Street reported to police at 7:34 p.m. that her car was broken into sometime during her shift. Less than two hours later, an employee at Men's Wearhouse said her car was also broken into.
Police received reports at 9:48 p.m. that traffic to Sonic was backed up to the Route 128 overpass and was blocking the entrance to the Spring Hill Suites as well as Hotel Road.
John Keilty, 58, of 84 Ellsworth Road, Peabody, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense), failure to use car in turning, and a red light violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Allen's Lane.

Paul Dellarocco, 60, of 56 Fairview Road, Weston, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. and charged with drunken driving, a marked-lanes violation, and a driving without lights violation following a motor vehicle stop on Route 114. A Peabody District Court judge found him not guilty of drunken driving, and responsible for the other charges.
Susan E. Kirby, 35, of 261 Newbury St., Lot 54B, Peabody, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. and charged with drunken driving, driving without insurance and an equipment violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1.

Catarina DeSousa, 18, of 5 Lincoln Road, Peabody, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, illegal possession of alcohol, and speeding, following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street.
Police received a report at 12:18 p.m. that lawn ornaments from Whispering Meadows mobile home park were stolen.
Mark F. Mellen, 43, of 6 Jones Terrace, Lynn, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. and charged with two counts of assault and battery at a Crane Brook Way address.
Lucio Armas, 31, of 69 High Rock Ave., Apt. 2, Lynn, was arrested at 4:54 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered vehicle, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1.
