No injuries were reported after the incident, during which the suspect — described as a dark-skinned Hispanic male with a “distinctive” mole on his nose — walked into the store shortly before 5 p.m. and showed a semi-automatic handgun, according to incident logs provided by Swampscott and Marblehead police departments.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running toward Paradise Road, the gun tucked into the waistband of his pants.

He was additionally described as wearing sunglasses, a green jacket, a blue bandanna, a gray shirt and blue pants with white paint spattered on the thigh area.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate him.
