UPDATE: Prayer services set tonight for Boston Marathon bombing victims, families

Some North Shore churches have prayer services planned this evening for the vicims, families and all others touched by yesterday's bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

All are welcome to attend a prayer service at South Congregational Church, 60 Prospect St., Peabody, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. From 4 to 6:30 p.m., the church will be open for silent personal prayer. For more information call 978-531-1964.

Grace Episcopal Church, at 385 Essex St., Salem, will hold a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m.

Comunidade de Cristo (Brazilian Christ Community Church) is holding a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. The church is at 67 Tremont St., Peabody.

Also today, Maple Street Congregational Church, at 90 Maple St., Danvers, has opened its chapel until 6 p.m.
