State of the Schools on the agenda

BEVERLY — The Beverly Public Schools will hold the annual State of the Schools event tomorrow night at Beverly High School.

The public is invited to attend a social, beginning at 6:30 p.m., when people can mingle with School Committee, City Council and school administration members.

The formal program will begin at 7 p.m. and will include an update on the schools by Superintendent Marie Galinski.

The school district also announced that the annual joint meeting of the School Committee and City Council is scheduled for April 9 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Topics on the agenda include an update on the middle school project, the payments/services in lieu of taxes program, consolidation of school and city services, and Beverly High School’s Marine JROTC program.
