A motorist at Dodge and Putnam streets was issued a citation for passing a school bus while its warning lights were activated at 3:20 p.m.
Police received a 9:33 p.m. report of “car surfing” at 7 Hutchinson Drive. An officer responded to the area but was unable to locate any activity matching that description.
Police received a 3:33 p.m. report of a person driving around in a parking lot at 712 Lowell St. with a “person on top of vehicle.” An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
An Antonio Drive woman reported at 5:45 p.m. that she had received texts from an unknown number “that are derogatory in nature.”
Police received an 11:09 a.m. report that a vehicle at 485 Lowell St. had rocks inserted into its exhaust pipe.
A 49-year-old man was transported to Union Hospital after he fell into a trench at 16 Winona St., according to a 12:31 p.m. report.
A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after a two-car accident propelled a vehicle into him as he tried to cross Maple Street on a bicycle around 4:45 p.m., Capt. Michael Porter said. A Honda Odyssey had apparently stopped to let the boy cross the street but was then struck from behind by a Ford F-150. Porter said the boy was thrown 10 feet by the accident. The driver of the Honda was also hospitalized. No citations were reported.
Police received a 4:48 p.m. report from the “parent of a track athlete” on Wyman Road who stated “there are kids in the woods smoking marijuana.”
A girl on Londonderry Road reported a 6-foot-tall white man “looking in the window” at 7:38 p.m.
A Manataug Trail woman reported at 4:05 a.m. that her kitchen light was on when she got up from bed. Wrote police: “She shut it off when she went to bed, so she just wanted an officer to drive in the area to see if anyone was around.” Police found nothing suspicious.
