Police: Robber has distinctive 'face' tattoo

DANVERS — Police yesterday disseminated surveillance photos of a suspect with a tattoo of what looks like a face on his right wrist, in an attempt to find out who robbed a Route 114 Dunkin’ Donuts at knife point on Sunday afternoon, June 23.

The photos, which are posted on the Mass Most Wanted website, massmostwanted.com, show a man holding up the restaurant at 3:55 p.m. He is about 6 feet tall with a medium build and a thick goatee, wearing a black hat, a black and white flannel shirt, tan shorts, black sneakers and aviator sunglasses In one picture, the man appears to don the sunglasses as he enters the restaurant, located at 79 Andover St., across the street from Kane’s Flower World.

Police Sgt. Robert Bettencourt said the man showed a folding knife with a black handle, robbed the store, then took off in a black Jeep Wrangler heading west.

“He kept pointing the knife at her and said: ‘I want the money,’” Bettencourt said.
