SALEM - A Bridge Street man will spend a year in jail after pleading guilty yesterday to a violent attack on his girlfriend inside her Rainbow Terrace apartment last spring.
David Mcewen, 40, had already been ordered by a judge to stay away from the woman when, on the afternoon of May 5, he began beating her.
