Minor fire causes $20,000 in damage

IPSWICH — Firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire at 44 Brownville Ave. yesterday. The alarm came in at 8:31 a.m.

The blaze was confined to the ceiling in the second floor and a small portion of the attic. Damage was estimated at $20,000, and the origin is believed to be electrical in nature.

No one was injured. Crews from Rowley covered the fire station.
