r Police received a report of a person at the top of the Veterans Memorial Bridge, but the person was only there because his vehicle broke down.
r Police received a report at 5:11 p.m. of a raccoon on the back porch. The raccoon appeared healthy, and the animal control officer sent the animal on its way.

r A 22-year-old Danvers man reported to police at 8 a.m. that he went inside the White Hen Pantry on Norman Street and, when he got out, his 21-speed mountain bike was gone.
r A motorcyclist attempting to kick back his kickstand lost control of his 1981 motorcycle and crashed by Bill and Bob's Roast Beef on Bridge Street. The operator, Stephen Zwicker, 54, of Beverly, was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Zwicker told police he lost control when his kickstand when down and he attempted to fix it while still moving.
r John Sim, 47, of 85 Valley St., Salem, was arrested at 11:38 a.m. and charged with violating the city's knife ordinance.

r Two male shoplifters left Abercrombie & Fitch at the Northshore Mall with approximately $100 in merchandise — a blue polo shirt and a white shirt. The two men left toward the food court, and police could not locate them.
r Police received a report at 9:13 p.m. that a motorist had his car broken into at St. Vasilios Church on Paleologos Street. A car window was smashed and a GPS device was stolen.
r Police reported a large pothole in front of Tweeter, a home electronics store on Route 114. MassHighway was called to fill in the hole as soon as possible.

r A disturbance complaint about loud music at the Courthouse Pub on Central Street at 12:47 a.m. caused karaoke night to end early.
r Security at the Hampton Inn on Route 1 reported to police at 1:30 a.m. that a car parked in their lot was broken into. A car window was smashed, and a GPS was stolen.
r Ernesto Ferman, 33, of 18 Chestnut St., Peabody, was arrested at 4 a.m. and charged with two counts of threatening to commit a crime and malicious destruction of property worth more than $250 following a report of a disturbance at his residence.
r A rental car was broken into at Homewood Suites Hotel on Route 1, and a GPS was stolen.
r Police received a report at 10:44 a.m. that a car was broken into at Spring Hill Suites on Route 1, and a GPS was stolen.
r An $800 pocketbook from the Coach store at the Northshore Mall was stolen by two women at 12:40 p.m. The bag is made of white shiny leather.

r Police got a call of an "amorous couple" in a car in the 100 block of Elliott Street. Police arrived, but all the love — and the car — was gone.

r Police received a report at 11 a.m. of someone attempting to steal copper wire on Webber Street.

r Tiffany McPherson-Gordon, 21, of 65 Main St., Peabody, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop on Atlantic Avenue.
r A good Samaritan or non-coffee drinker turned in a Starbucks card found on Pleasant Street at 1:30 p.m.
r Police received a report at 4 p.m. of a man with binoculars on Village Street.

r Kathleen McLaughlin, 44, of 63 Suffolk Ave., Swampscott, was arrested at 6:48 p.m. and charged with assault and malicious destruction of property worth more than $250 following a report of a domestic at the residence.

r Thomas J. Carideo, 58, of 141 Cushing Ave., Revere, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace following a report of a disturbance on Humphrey Street.
