Car break-ins prompt warning from police

BEVERLY — Police are reminding residents to remove all valuables from their cars, following a string of motor vehicle break-ins during the weekend.

From Friday to Monday, police in Beverly received six reports of car break-ins during the overnight hours. Other communities like Salem, Danvers and Hamilton also reported car breaks.

Beverly Patrolman John McCarthy reminded all motorists to remove all valuables from vehicles and to keep all doors locked.
