Police arrest teens on rape charges

PEABODY — Police arrested two juveniles Monday night following allegations by a local teenager she was held against her will and was forced to perform sex acts.

Police said the female victim knew the two Peabody boys — who are 14 and 15 years old. The alleged rape happened around 4 p.m. in Peabody and the victim later reported the sexual assaults to police.

Peabody police also notified the state police crime lab to respond.

The two juveniles were arrested at 8:47 p.m. and each was charged with aggravated rape, kidnapping, and assault and battery.
