---- — SALEM — A weekend at a Truro beach house, a golf outing at the Ipswich Country Club and a gourmet dinner in a historic Salem home are among dozens of items being auctioned tomorrow night by the Salem Education Foundation.
The annual benefit for the Salem public schools begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Hawthorne Hotel. It features live music by Henley Douglas Rhythm and Blues and food catered by the hotel.
The foundation’s online auction, which ends Sunday night, features more than 200 items.

The auction kicks off a weekend of activities that include a free “Education Day” on Saturday. More than 25 workshops for children and adults will be held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at various sites: a pasta shop, a corset shop, CinemaSalem, the Salem Common basketball court and City Hall.
All participants must register starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Salem Five Community Room on the Essex Street pedestrian mall.
In a related event, an information session and registration for summer school and community summer programs will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in a large tent behind the Community Health Center, 47 Congress St.
