Police: Salem house hit by BBs

SALEM — The reported drive-by shooting Tuesday night on Clark Avenue turned out to be someone, possibly teenagers, firing air guns.

“We believe they were BB guns,” Detective Brian St. Pierre said yesterday.

The BBs hit several windows on a single-family house but did not do extensive damage. In one instance, a BB broke one pane of a double-pane window, St. Pierre said.

Police said teens with BB guns have been seen in the area recently.
