Police: 4 drunken drivers arrested

DANVERS — Police arrested six people in the course of about 13 hours between Thursday night and yesterday morning — four of them on drunken driving charges.

The incidents began at 9:58 p.m. on Thursday, when police fielded a report that a car had struck a wooden barrier outside the Merchants Liquor Mart building on High Street. Subsequently arrested was Lesa Marie Deleon, 44, of 46 Courtney Drive, Beverly, on a charge of drunken driving, according to the incident log.

Later in the evening, at about 11 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that initially refused to pull over on Andover Street and arrested Adam Meinhardt, 31, of 956 N 150 W, American Fork, Utah, on charges of drunken driving, failure to stop for police, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, improper turn and a marked lanes violation.

At 2:40 a.m., an officer at the Motel 6 on Newbury Street arrested Kirsten O’Keefe, 24, of 39 Alison Way, Lynn, on a charge of drunken driving, and Antone Morris, 26, of 19 Tower Ave., Lynn, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

A 4:33 a.m. report of an intoxicated person at 96 Newbury St. resulted in the arrest of Lisa Stevens, 54, of the same address, on charges of drunken driving, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked registration and having an uninsured motor vehicle or trailer.

At 11:34 a.m., an officer at the Liberty Tree Mall arrested Nicholas Meserve, 20, of 18 Buxton Road, Danvers, on charges of disorderly conduct and being a person under 21 in possession of liquor.
