A vehicle struck the TD Bank building at 600 Loring Ave., according to a 12:45 p.m. report. A man will be summonsed on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

Police were unable to locate the person who was reported to be lying in a driveway at 265 Essex St., according to a 1:48 p.m. log item.

Police and the Fire Department responded to a 2:36 p.m. report of a vehicle fire at Highland Avenue and Barnes Road. “No fire,” wrote police. “Vehicle was leaking some sort of fluid but was otherwise functional.”

Monday

Police received a 5:12 p.m. report that a dog was locked in a car near 301 Newbury St., but police were unable to locate it.

An 8:15 p.m. report of a disobedient 8-year-old girl brought police to 190 Newbury St.

Police conducted a traffic stop at 139 Endicott St. at 10:20 p.m. and arrested Nicole Doherty, 28, of 10 Blaney Ave., Peabody, on a charge of operating with a suspended license and a motor vehicle lights violation.

An officer searched the area of Conant and Poplar streets after a 10:35 p.m. report of a “large cat,” but to no avail.

Tuesday

A 12:43 p.m. report of shoplifting at the Kohl’s on Independence Way resulted in the arrests of Stephanie Moore, 18, of 11 Carolyn Drive, Danvers, and Justice Patricko, 18, of 2 Sterling Ave., Peabody, each on a charge of shoplifting over $100.

Police received a 3:30 p.m. report of a “bone in back yard” at 26 Chestnut St., but an officer later called it “unfounded.”

Sunday

Police responded to a 10:04 p.m. report of a suspicious car at the Appleton Farms parking lot on Highland Street and arrested Colton Blanchette, 20, of 93 Central St., Byfield, on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Tuesday

A report around 5:30 p.m. that a passerby had seen a man on Highland Street repeatedly hit his 12-year-old son resulted in the arrest of Stephen Wickers, 58, of 15 Eddel Ave., Wenham, on a charge of domestic assault and battery. Wickers was arrested at his home.
