A caller was reportedly locked out of his or her car at TJ Maxx on Lowell Street, while an infant was inside the vehicle, according to a 4:06 p.m. log item.

Police arrested John Kelley, 38, 6 Puritan Road, Somerville, on an assault and battery charge after receiving a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman in the area of Pinewood Road, at 9:19 p.m.



A caller in the area of 331 Highland Ave. reported seeing turkeys in the travel lane at 3:39 p.m.

At 7:04 p.m., a fight inside a business in the area of Washington Street was reported to police.


Police arrested Charlie Lohman, 44, 34 Fairview Ave., Lynn, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, after he was stopped in the area of Highland Avenue and Valley Street at 12:18 a.m.

At 1:12 a.m., police responded to a car accident on Tremont Street. Upon arrival, police arrested Federico Flete, 50, 38 Mason St., on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and driving at a speed greater than reasonable.

A caller on Chase Street reported graffiti on the front door of his or her residence at 5:26 a.m.

Police responded to a home on Boston Street on a report of a possible overdose at 7:23 a.m. After a subsequent investigation, Salem detectives executed a search warrant, which led to the arrest of Shwan Kareem, 32, 17 Boston St. Kareem was arrested on charges of possession of a class A drug with intent to distribute, possession of a class E drug with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute, and two counts of possession of a class C drug with intent to distribute.

Police arrested Sean McCarthy, 29, 10 Spring View Terrace, Lynn, on charges of operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. McCarthy was arrested on Highland Avenue at 10:40 a.m.



A man in a black coat and with a silver minivan was seen taking pictures in the yard of a home on Harbor Avenue, according to a 9:06 a.m. log entry.



At 2:40 p.m., police arrested Monique Johnson-Upham, 22, 300 Washington St., Salem, on charges of speeding, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and a warrant out of Woburn, after stopping her on Essex Street. Police reported her driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.


Police arrested David Chavez, 24, 6 Jones Terrace, Lynn, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a number plate violation at 9:40 a.m. in the area of Paradise Road and Parsons Drive.



A caller from Applebee’s restaurant on Independence Way reported a “walk-out on $40,” at 11:08 p.m.
