Monday

A man was reported to be walking on the highway near Essex Street and Route 128, according to a 10:39 p.m. report. Police searched the area and were unable to locate anyone walking on the highway.

Tuesday

At 1:40 a.m., a caller in the area of Lothrop Street reported a computer was stolen out of his or her car.

An abandoned shopping cart full of Red Bull was found on Dodge Street at 10:24 a.m.

Police shut down Route 128 north at exit 18 at 11:30 a.m. due to reports of a car traveling south in the northbound lane coming from Manchester.

Peabody

Monday

A caller from Brooksby Village Drive reported at 2:45 p.m. that he was the victim of a scam. He had sent $3,300 overseas to someone who claimed that he was his grandson and needed to get out of jail.

Tuesday

A caller from Mount Pleasant Drive reported a suspicious person in his yard wearing a dark jacket and carrying a flashlight, trying to take his pool pump apart, according to a 1:05 a.m. log entry. An officer reported no one in the area, and footprints in the yard belonged to the resident.

Police arrested Harrison Carr, 24, 18 Cherry St., Wenham, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, driving without an inspection sticker, two counts of possession of a class E drug, a lights violation and another department’s warrant, after stopping him on Newbury Street at 6:39 a.m.

Monday

At 5:52 p.m., police arrested Giani Dicesare, 22, 9 Abbott St., Beverly, on charges of operating a motor vehicle after license suspension and failing to stop at a red light, after he was pulled over in the area of Washington and Federal streets.

A person reported his iPhone was taken from a locker at the YMCA on Leggs Hill between 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., according to a 7:51 p.m. log item. Another caller reported at 10:11 p.m. that he also had items taken from his locker between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Both lockers were unlocked.
